Costume Contest

It’s time to channel your creative genius and craft a winning costume for your dog!  This year there are no specific categories.  The judges will select winners based on:

Originality
Quality
“Fun” Quotient
Complexity

Costumes must be in good taste and appropriate for your dog.

If you have a pair of dogs whose costumes are a part of one obvious theme, you may register the pair as one dog.  If their costumes are unrelated, each dog must be registered separately.

Also acceptable: you and your dog [or human family members and their dog(s)] may all be in costume as one entry if costumes are part of one overall theme.

If you are participating in the Costume Contest, here’s how it will work…

Schedule

Registration opens at 11:30 a.m. After registering and collecting your  t-shirt, Trick-Or-Treat bag and contest entry number, you and your dog will be directed to the Contest Judging Tent.

Here you will present your dog(s) to the judges.  The judges will take notes and ask any questions they may have related to the costume.  This shouldn’t take any longer than a few minutes.

You are then free to take your dog along the Trick-Or-Treat Trail, visit our
vendors and The BIG Pumpkin Photo Station, or sit and enjoy the live music.

2:45 p.m. Contest participants need to report back to the Registration area to line up for the Parade of Dogs.

3:00 p.m. the Parade of Dogs will begin. This gives the event audience the opportunity to enjoy all the dogs/people in costume.

3:00 – 4:00 p.m. – Raffle drawing winner will be announced and the Costume Contest prizes will be awarded
